The Chillest Playlist to Help You Relax

By: Ali Sakr

Let’s take a few minutes to unwind, to break away from any stress and allow our brains and bodies to completely relax. Music is often the deciding factor of your mood, so it’s now time to take advantage of this.

Here’s a little playlist of some of the songs and pieces I think could really help slow your heart rate down. Do note, though, that my taste in music is absolutely all over the place, so you can probably imagine that this playlist will be too.

If you want to get straight to listening without reading at all (easy there, cowboy), here’s a link to the playlist on youtube and here it is on anghami:

(this is missing 3 songs from the Youtube version since I couldn’t find them on Anghami – I’ve put an asterisk next to them in the article so you can listen to them seperately if you want to)

PS. There’s really no specific order to listen to the playlist, so just hit shuffle and let the randomness take over for a while.

And now, some context. While I, at first, planned to divide all the tracks according to genre, I found it wouldn’t really be that useful considering that isn’t how they’re supposed to be listened to, so I’ll just be having half a line of info next to some of the songs I’ll be includings. Either way, you’ll be seeing classics (I’m talking 19th Century composers), instrumentals and new(ish) songs  all the way to lofi hip-hop and maybe even a Spanish song or two.

Will you be able to tell this is really one cohesive playlist? Probably not, but some parts will feel pretty connected. Besides, by the end of this you’ll hopefully be too calm to care. Let’s get to it.
