Ramadan vibes are at an all time high and we’re honestly overwhelmed! Kunafa on everything you can imagine, fawanees bombarding each and every street, and restaurants going oriental. However, we chose to have our fetar at Mo Bistro that didn’t do a single change to their menu, nor did they join the ramadan spirits. Their new branch at Capital Promenade was everything we wished for! We risked trying them for the first time on iftar and they did not disappoint!
We had our order placed at around 3 pm on the same day and reserved via phone without a deposit (a huge plus tbh). We then went at around 6 pm to wait for the highly anticipated adan :p The interiors were really chill and the service was on point. Did we mention that we had our food just on time for iftar?? We’re appreciating those little things simply because many restaurants turn into absolute chaos with the excuse of ramadan but they were just super smooth.
We had bread and some yummy salsas served to keep us sane before our order came. The eggplants salsa was so tasty and so were the tomatoes!
The soups were lovely and their portion was more than enough. We had the almond soup (yep, awesome), pumpkin soup and the clear soup.
The only appetizer we tried was the Caprese mushroom and it’s a must! We never thought mushrooms stuffed with buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes topped with some balsamic vinegar can taste this heavenly.
We then had the beetroot salad which was perfect! So sweet with arugula, goat cheese, avocados and pistachios.
The chicken Caesar salad was perfect too! Chicken really tender and just the right amount of dressing.
Now for the main course where Mo Bistro did not joke around!!!
The Fettuccine spinach and caramelized onions was unexpectedly delicious! Sweet and sour paradise caramelized onion lovers would die for.
Another main course was the Cheddar & Bacon Chicken; we couldn’t taste the cheddar and the chicken could’ve been much juicier but it still tasted good and those baby potatoes were adorable!!
The chicken teriyaki thighs were sooo on point. The portion was perfect and satisfied our bellies after a long day of fasting and they were served with mashed potatoes.
We also had the Beef Capriccios which was perfectly tender; topped with beef bacon, sun-dried tomatoes and shaved parmesan. Again served with mashed potatoes and we loved how the almonds on top went well with the potatoes!
The Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken Breast was a great main course too! Slow cooked to perfection, topped with a creamy sauce and also served with their signature mashed potatoes!
Mo Bistro takes the presentation game to a whole other level obviously and each dish had a different mix of flavors with a brilliant attention to detail! We’ll definitely fill our bellies there again 😉
