Andiamo is the absolute perfect place for a nice cosy setting with one food no one can ever resist – pizza. Andiamo is an Italian eatery with an eclectic collection of cheesy goodness – 17 types of pizza to choose from? hell yes! The pizza bar has got the perfect combination of old fashioned and homey – and while there is a branch in New Cairo – we heavily recommend the original in Heliopolis if only for its charm. Funfact: they’re pros at combining alcohol and pizza so if you’re a drinker you now know where to go for something different.
This calls for some nadafa fa drop the sweatpants and hoodie, casualxformal is perfect really for Sachi, also, truly describes the place. Sachi offers a “Meditarranean Fusion” cuisine – it’s the place to go if you’re trying to woo your gf/bf – also works as an apology date perfectly fine. Now, the sushi is amazing despite the menu as a whole being somewhat limited, the atmosphere is super chill but also very classy, the only downside is that it’s very very very not wallet-friendly, yaani mel akher hatetla3o mefalleseen for the rest of the month – or year. Again, Heliopolis branch is the best idea.
3) Zizo Natana
Transition gamed msh kda? Anyway, di fekra hayla for a date. Take your significant other to play tourists f Masr El Adeema and pass by El Moez Street – Zizo is right at the entrance there. Now, the a3da is basically 3al raseef, so you can continue playing tourist and enjoy the various kebda and sogo2 sandwiches (you must order multiple halves – just saying) 3al raseef, or you can take them straight to your car and cruise while eating though that’s not very advisable tbh. Oh and don’t forget to try the Sakalans – eshta, 3asal, and halawa – rolled into one sandwich. It’s super authentic and quite an enjoyable a3da – give it a shot.
Classic bas mashy. Sequoia is located in Zamalek, overlooking the Nile, funfact: the area now known as Sequoia and Left Bank actually used to be a really racy cabaret before it was transformed. Anyway, whether you visit there for lunch or for dinner, you’re bound to enjoy the food and the general atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to binge on super flavorful oriental food – so to all you shawerma freaks and molokhia lovers – this is the perfect place to have a homey meal outside of home. You can simply take a walk around the beautiful streets of Zamalek or cruise with your car post the food coma.
Dear Shabab Zayed, Maadi, and Tagamo3 – this should seriously be your go to breakfast date spot. Ovio offers a wide array of absolutely delicious pancakes that are totally irresistible, they make a mean eggs Benedict, and the smell of freshly baked breads and pastries will have you drooling in no time. There’s something charming about having breakfast dates, as most people are busy during the day, make time for your loved one during the morning when you’re supposed to be busy – if only to show them that they are more important to you than anything else in the world – also to start your day right msh kda?
SUSHI. That’s all we have to say. Fuego is literally fire, no joke. Zayed, Maadi, and Zamalek are all areas blessed with a Fuego branch. With super authentic décor, warm ambiance, and a wide selection of sushi, sashimi, salads, and soups – Fuego is a good idea for a date. Okay, so maybe not very wallet friendly but it shouldn’t cause an inconvenience, plus, it’s a chance to get out of Tagamo3 and venture into places that you normally wouldn’t unless you live there or you have reason to be there regulary! So, beyond eating some delicious Japanese food, and having a good convo, take a walk around or visit a dessert place to end your afternoon/night on a happy chocolatey note!
While it is becoming a bit mainstream these days, it is quite a good place for a date – an excuse to get a bit fancy if you will – you know, hair, makeup, that new Hugo Boss shirt, etc. Kazoku offers contemporary Japanese cuisine at its finest. Their slogan is “The Art of Dining” and it couldn’t have fit any better for truthfully, their food really is more of art. From the delightfully different twists on the classic sushi. Even more so, the very tempo of the place changes from day to night, as if with each passing minute the place transitions from light and airy into somewhat sensual. Again – your wallet can say goodbye to every single malleem in it.
Breakfast goodness guaranteed. As it stands, Cereal and Flakes is Egypt’s first cereal bar and already; it’s one hell of a popular spot. People flock to the place regularly for their super twists on the classic bowl of cereal, from fruit and yogurt all the way to coffee and icecream, you have the option of either ordering for the both of you some of their signature bowls or customizing your own – yes, even if you want gummy bears it’s possible. The old crowd – aka our parents – have taken over Smokery Kattameya, so we’re better off at the Heliopolis branch; it’s bigger and much lovelier anyway. Smokery is a classic, neutral food and a very chill kinda fancy air, stay outdoors and visit there during nighttime as it is much livelier and the twinkling lights are absolutely beautiful, so to all you hopeless romantics, this is probably your idea of where a perfect date could be. From salmon to sushi and all the way to steak – The Smokery’s got you covered.
